Linered Aluminium Foil Tape
Linered Aluminium Foil Tape for thermal insulation, moisture vapour sealing and HVAC applications. Strong adhesion, high temperature resistance and fire-rated performance.
FL1702 Linered Aluminium Foil Tape provides a reliable sealing solution for insulation, HVAC and ducting applications. It combines a high tensile strength aluminium foil carrier with a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive to create a durable bond in demanding environments.
The tape is designed for sealing foil-faced insulation materials, pipe insulation sections and metal ducting. It helps maintain thermal efficiency while reducing moisture vapour ingress through joints and seams. As a result, it supports the long-term performance of insulation systems in commercial and industrial settings.
FL1702 offers strong adhesion to steel at 15N/25mm and a tensile strength of 45N/25mm. In addition, the acrylic adhesive provides dependable performance across a wide temperature range, making the tape suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
The 40-micron aluminium foil backing reflects heat effectively and provides a robust barrier against moisture vapour. Furthermore, the siliconised paper release liner allows clean and controlled application.
FL1702 meets UL723 Fire Rating 25/50 requirements and achieves Class O certification to BS476 Parts 6 and 7. Therefore, it is well suited to HVAC, insulation and building service applications where fire performance is important.

Instructions
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease, dust and loose material before application.
Remove the release liner and apply the tape with firm, even pressure across the joint or seam.
For best results, apply the tape between +10°C and +40°C.
Press firmly along the entire length of the tape to achieve maximum adhesion and sealing performance.
Store the tape in a clean, dry environment and keep it away from excessive heat and direct sunlight.
