Single Sided Closed Cell PE Foam Tape

FDP222 is an expanded, single sided, low density polyethylene foam with a pressure sensitive water based acrylic adhesive. This foam has a working temperature range of -80°C to +100°C. The upper temperature limit is determined by an internal test method ‘thermal stability’; requirement is <5% shrinkage in all dimensions during 24h at the test temperature; tested and valid without load on the foam. The lower limit is given by the glass transition temperature of polyethylene. FDP222 has good resistance against bases and diluted acids (except oxidising acids at elevated temperatures), and will not deteriorate, degrade or decompose when in contact with these. FDP222 also has relatively good UV and weather stability.
